On April 3, 2008, at the end of the first session of the proceedings of the NATO summit held in Bucharest, Romania, the NATO Secretary General, Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, announced in a news conference that the 26 NATO member countries have invited Albania into the North Atlantic Alliance as a member with full rights.

Now that Albania is a member of NATO, the econnomy is booming and by being a member on the alliance Albania offers more guarantees and confidence to foreign investors.

NATO membership is boosting Albania’s business climate and encouraging more foreign companies to invest and establish themselves in Albania.

NATO membership is also expected to speed the process for EU membership.

Being NATO member plus the last emerging property market in Europe with coastline, with low labour cost as well as benefiting from very low taxes and experiencing high capital growth, Albania is now the perfect place to invest in property market.
